@jeffbezos It seems SDIO is generating the same hash for 2 different hwids. 😮
Edit: I've been reading up on hash algorithms and it seems it's not uncommon for the right combination of data and algorithm to generate collisions as we have here. I'm wondering how often we've experienced this previously without understanding what's happening??
So I'm going to experiment with a different hash algorithm. Each HWID has it's own hash which is later used to do look-ups. This means you won't be able to have a mix of old and new indexes.
I'll use it to generate the indexes on the new driver packs when I do the next update and hopefully all will be well.
I know I'm going to get complaints because nobody reads the changes doc.
Additionally, it is necessary to delete the contents of the index folder in order for it to find driver pack updates
