We had a major storm through here recently and we suffered damage to the house roof and ceilings. I just received the quote to repair. I’m hoping that a small fraction of the 80,000 odd people that download SDIO and/or Desktop Info every month won’t mind chipping in a few dollars to help out. Hi I am currently deploying a shortcut for the app to the all users startup folder, and that works fine for around 8 hours. then the desktopinfo will eventually disappear and only come back when the device is restarted. To try and combat that, I am testing setting up a sched task to run when a user logs in. this seems to work fine, but the icon for desktopinfo shows in the task bar. when i stop my task and run it manually, it seems to work fine, and not show in the task bar. I have tried .vbs and .ps1 wrappers to try and supress the icon, but with no luck. Does anyone know how to run a sched task automatically on sign in, without having the icon pop up in the system tray?
Check the log file for errors or clues. Does the process actually exit? Check task manager. We're aware of the taskbar icon issue and hope to resolve it in the next release.
