We had a major storm through here recently and we suffered damage to the house roof and ceilings. I just received the quote to repair. I’m hoping that a small fraction of the 80,000 odd people that download SDIO and/or Desktop Info every month won’t mind chipping in a few dollars to help out. I extracted SDIO in x:\SDIO - the program is there, and it runs from there, but when I download the drivers, it puts the entire program and updates in:
X:\SDIO\update\SDIO_Update
Then I have to manually copy the drivers to X:\SDIO\drivers.
How can I make it use x:\SDIO as the main folder and put the updates and drivers in this folder?
Thanks,
PTP
That's correct. When the download completes, the files are then copied to the correct locations in the running version.
I've been aware of SDIO for several years but just decided to start using it. I have the same problem, it isn't copying the files, so I ran the program from the update folder. It seemed to run fine from their since it identified the drivers I needed. I also have a problem after it identifies and lists the drivers, I select them, but can't get them to actually install. I'm a newbie so sure I'm doing something wrong. Is there a good tutorial on using SDIO that you recommend? Sorry to hear about your home, sending a little help.
post the zipped logs
also switch on expert mode, go into options, on the advanced page, switch on console window. You'll get some interesting feedback there.
