    Hi,

    is it possible to use a registry value as a dynamic key for the FILE2TEXT function and return only the value?

    e.g.
    REG=active:1,value:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ReleaseId,set:releaseid,hidden:1
    FILE2TEXT=active:1,key:%releaseid%,file:\supportinfo.txt

    [supportinfo.txt]
    1709=End of Life 03/2020
    1809=End of Life 03/202x

    Is it additionally possible to skip the key on the left column and just return the value “End of Life 03/2020” (right column)

    Best regards
    Simon

    1. It’s definitely possible. You just can’t do it right now. 🙂 I like the idea though and will add it to the next release.

    2. Don’t display the key in the left column, just the value in the right column?

    Perfect, BTW your tiny DesktopInfo tool is really great! 🙂

    correct, at least make it optional. For this purpose it is just the selector and %releaseid% is already available as a variable.
