SDIO continues to show an HP Application Driver Extension after attempting to install it several times. Even after a restart it still appears when SDIO is launched again.

The driver does not appear to install properly via SDIO.

Is there a way to have SDIO ignore this driver and stop reporting it as out of date?

        See attached file

Looks like it’s saying there’s an Updated driver available.

Agreed and after repeated attempts it will not install.

Again my question is whether there is an ability to configure SDIO from reporting on a particular piece of hardware for driver updates if the driver update reported continues to fail installation?

It is clear this new driver update will continue to not be successfully updated.

              No there isn’t.

What error does it report when it’s trying install?

It indicates the driver successfully installed however, when you click on the banner that indicates the “Installation Completed (hide installed driver)” it reappears right after again with the next scan. I have attached that screen capture but then the screen capture from my first post is what appears after SDIO refresh after hide installed driver.

It seems like it somewhat reinstalls the existing/current driver again but can’t install the extension.

I have also attached the log of this driver update which does not indicate and error either.

If there is nothing that can be done that is fine. I can just continue to ignore it.

I guess it will not let me upload the log. Here is one more screen capture attached of the duplicate driver message with a hover over.

And lastly the output of the driver update log.

It would be interesting to see if anything shows up in the console output. Otherwise I can’t see that anything is actually failing. I suggest you switch off the “Newer” filter.

Thank your time and your reply Glenn (same spelling as my father in law).

I assume you mean the full log from the console?

In any regard, it is easy to ignore. I just thought maybe I missed something in the reference manual or the settings that may provide a user with the ability to ignore it showing up.

I will assume it is not installing for a reason. I even extracted the driver from the driver pack and attempted a manual install of the driver. Windows did not like that either, or would not allow it or the device failed to work if I forced it.

I will simply take this as a sign going forward to just ignore the driver if it does not install the driver via this software.

Thank again for your time, and really appreciate your work on this software. It is very helpful.
