      Good morning Glenn,

      thank you for adding the FILE2TEXT ‘key’ options.
      I can’t show a single value from a conf file.
      I have tested it with a text file. It works without problems.
      When I keep off the ‘key’ option by the conf file then it displayed only the first line from the conf file.
      Is only a txt file supported or which data types are supported?

      Can you help me please?

      I suspect your conf file is not a text file. The FILE2TEXT item can only read text files. What application is the conf file from? Maybe attach it here and I can have a look.

      Good morning Glenn,

      yes, you’re suspect right. The conf file is from AnyDesk. I attached the conf file, but I replace important information with placeholder. I need line 5.
      Thank you, that you want to help me.

      The system.conf is a text file. I was able to show the whole file and also a single entry using the following item:

      FILE2TEXT=active:1,interval:0,file:system.conf,key:ad.anynet.id

      That file is a Unix text file (LF). You need to save it as a Windows text file (CR/LF).

      Thank you so much for your help. The file is created from the program. I hope the developer change the type of the file.
      I’m sorry you spent so much time.

      No worries. I’ll raise an issue and see if it’s feasible to support LF text files.
