    I am wondering why the domain controller is reporting the wrong DC. What is the mechanism for detecting this? It seems as though it’s tied to DNS as the DC being reported is our primary DNS server, not the DC I’m logged into.

    It calls the NetGetDCName function from netapi32.dll.

    I think we need the logonserver name as the NetGetDCName function only pulls back the PDC name. If in a remote site this won’t be the local logon server. Unfortunately I’m not a programmer so not sure what the function required is.

    Is there anyway to implement integration with PowerShell?

    maybe you just want the environment variable for logonserver ?

    ENVVAR=active:3,text:Logon Server,key:logonserver

    Sweet! ENVVAR=active:3,text:Logon Server,key:logonserver did the trick. Thanks!
