We had a major storm through here recently and we suffered damage to the house roof and ceilings. I just received the quote to repair. I’m hoping that a small fraction of the 80,000 odd people that download SDIO and/or Desktop Info every month won’t mind chipping in a few dollars to help out. Click on the big blue button at the bottom of the page to help us keep a roof over our heads, literally!

Version 1.17.1.822
24 November 2025

* Sam Driver Packs 25.11.1
* Much work on improving support for Windows 11
* No longer looking for Win 10 drivers when Win 11 is detected.
* Detect Win 11 Server.
* I'm trying again with an SDIO driver pack.

Edit: I did a quick fix of v1.17.0 to deal with my 'orrible c++ skills.

SDIO v1.17.0.819 defaults to Windows 11 Server.
I have to change it to Windows 10 to display drivers.

OK. It defaults to Windows 11 (64-bit), which is my operating system, although it still doesn't display all the available drivers.

If I switch to Windows 10 (64-bit), the drivers are displayed. I think that might be a Windows issue. Windows 11 drivers seem to be still listed under Windows 10. They work fine.

There are many reasons. There are not nearly as many Win11 drivers about as there are Win10. Examine the target os on each driver and see what it's target os is.

I don't think there is anything you can do about that at this point in time, Glenn.

Still confused with the update OS versions e.g. what is Windows 10/11 Server? It's not a product I've ever come across, plus it's detecting Windows Server 2025 as Windows 11 Server

Yeah I'm confused too 🙂

I've seen 26100 referred to as both Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025 by Microsoft. Is the following true?

Version 26100: if "Server" then name is "Windows Server 2025", if not "Server" then name is "Windows 11 24H2"

what about 26200?

@taomyn I've done some more reading today and I'm getting a clearer picture of how Microsoft thinks 😐

The next release should correctly identify the server versions as "Windows Server xxxx"

822 is broken for me, it shows "Drivers are up to date" but I know that they're not, as I was deliberately avoiding updating my Nvidia driver.

selecting current and older didn't display anything until I selected Windows 10. Is there any way I can lock on Windows 10, so I don't have to switch on every SDIO launch?

How do you know that?

Not currently.

Sorry, I don't seem to get notified about replies, even when you quote my account name, the whole build thing is quote confusing. My Windows 2025 Server shows build 26200, which I only thought was for Win11 25H2 - hopefully what you discovered for the next release will help.

Also, I have noticed that when I try to update some Realtek drivers on my Win11 25H2 machine, it tries to install drivers from Intel taking a long time to extract the files and then fails. If I remove the new SDIO driver pack it doesn't find any updates, but continues to offer them as "Internet" and pointing at Intel driver archives.

I have a picture in my head where Windows dev dudes mark a version of the source code with a number. The Client team will then do a release from that code. The Server team will branch at that point to create a "server" build. So you have two (actually more) builds called 26200: the client build which we will call Windows 11 25H2 and the server build which we will call Microsoft Server 2025. The server team is then free to do additional builds from their own branch and it will continue to be called Server 2025 (based on 26200). At some point in the future they will branch again applying their own updates to the new branch and etc.....

Ok.  See how the next lot goes. Look for the index files starting with underscore, "_DP_SDIO_25122.bin". These are the indexes downloaded from the torrent and will indicate "(Internet)" drivers. so you may have had 2 SDIO indexes, perhaps...
