I'm at the end of an intense 5 week code refactor and I'm looking for some people to test out the beta. The link to the current beta is below. Please report your findings in this thread.

Hi Glenn, I wouldn't mind testing it out. I just recommended my friend this piece of software cause his pc is very old, but he's running into the bad cast error. If it's stable enough on my machine i could also have him test it out as well.
@liminalink excellent. that will be a good test, if you can run v1.18 and get the error then run v2.0 and (hopefully) not get the error. I should have something ready to test in the next few days.
@glenn sounds good. my laptop doesn't really seem to be affected by it, once you have a build ready i'll send it to my friend once i confirm basic functions work for me.
Here is the first beta test: www.glenn.delahoy.com/downloads/sdio/SDIO_2.0.0.831-beta-1.zip
what do i know about this build?
1. Works on Win7 and up. I learned today one of the tools moved it's base support to Win7. In theory it still supports WinXP, I just haven't figured it out yet.
2. Scripting is not working yet.
3. Haven't seen a bad cast error yet.
4. Seems happy with ipv6
5. A large chunk of the language files are now in English 🙂
I have learned today that support for XP and Vista is no longer feasible if we want the product to use up to date code. In effect, v1.18.0 is the last version that will run on XP/Vista.
Edit 1: I've determined the torrent code is the chief culprit. I can make a build that runs on XP but without the updates code. I think this is a reasonable compromise all things considered.
seems to work fine for me, i'll send my friend this thread so that he can test it.
Why on Windows 11, snappy show me this driver? Is not work perfectly on modern OS.
don't install it 🙂Why on Windows 11, snappy show me this driver? Is not work perfectly on modern OS.
Here is beta 2: www.glenn.delahoy.com/downloads/sdio/SDIO_2.0.0.832-beta-2.zip
This contains a special build to run on XP. I've tested it on a VM. I wonder if anyone has an actual XP box???
