We had a major storm through here recently and we suffered damage to the house roof and ceilings. I just received the quote to repair. I’m hoping that a small fraction of the 80,000 odd people that download SDIO and/or Desktop Info every month won’t mind chipping in a few dollars to help out. Click on the big blue button at the bottom of the page to help us keep a roof over our heads, literally!

Hello

i am trying to display the Teamviewer ID on the Desktop Info. I am trying to pull it from a Txt file but all i am getting is the path of the text File. Ideally i would prefer to pull the ID directly from the Registry. Anyway of getting this to work?

Registry Path: HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TeamViewer
Client PathClientID

Your reg key got mangled in the post. in any case you'll be looking for either the REG or REG2 item.  Page 125.  If having the wow6432node in the path doesn't work, use the "wow:64" option.  something like:

REG=value:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer\ClientID, wow:64, display:Team Viewer Client ID: %1
